How this helps your child
- Speech and language development
- Alternative communication
- Feeding support
- Social communication
Speech and language therapy helps children understand others and express themselves, whether with words, signs or pictures. At Wonder Kids in Uttara, Dhaka, our speech therapists work with children who are late to talk, hard to understand, or who find conversation and social language difficult.
Signs your child may benefit
- Few or no words by around 18–24 months, or not joining words by age 2–3
- Speech that family members or teachers find hard to understand
- Difficulty following simple instructions or answering questions
- Repeating words or phrases (echolalia) instead of using them to communicate
- Trouble with chewing, swallowing or feeding
What therapy looks like
Sessions are play-based, so children stay motivated. Depending on your child’s needs, therapy may build early skills like attention and imitation, grow vocabulary and sentences, improve clear speech sounds, or introduce picture-based communication for children who are not yet speaking. Bangla and English are both supported.
Working together with parents
Children learn language all day, not only in therapy. We show parents simple strategies for daily routines, mealtimes and play, so progress continues at home.
